I guess I automatically assumed that part of being a film blogger, or for that matter, a film fan, meant I must care about the Oscars, when that's not necessarily the case. I can't say I loved it, but I appreciated it.<br /><br />I have a wealth of Oscar knowledge up to around the 70s. In the 80s I started viewing them with a more jaded eye, and in the 90s the kids kept me too busy to care. If you count up the number of awards given out in that time period, it is staggering.
