The scene there sounded not unlike Greenwich Village back in the day.Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11376065182154885503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-9592246536984699932019-08-16T18:19:16.585-04:002019-08-16T18:19:16.585-04:00I think what Garry discovered was that the locals ...I think what Garry discovered was that the locals weren't as opposed to the hippies convening for the concert as the original doc made it seem. Indeed, when people needed help (sick of weather related), the locals really stepped up. Society at large embraced the schism.

Here's an article on the Yorkville Music scene. These few blocks in midtown Toronto was the hub of the folk/rock days: https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2015/07/16/once-upon-a-city-yorkville-home-of-torontos-original-indie-music-scene.htmlCaftan Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05936895555808823221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-13481328516278772712019-08-14T20:30:22.819-04:002019-08-14T20:30:22.819-04:00Hmm. But many of those story arcs did converge on Yasgur’s Farm during that weekend...Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11376065182154885503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-20840839241246782412019-08-14T14:57:17.400-04:002019-08-14T14:57:17.400-04:00Garry has, naturally, relied on the 1970 documenta...Garry has, naturally, relied on the 1970 documentary Woodstock for his 1960s nostalgia, but recently watched a series on the concert on PBS's American Experience.
