'Memento' and 'Inception' seem a bit too post-modern for a Hitchcock movie to me, although had he lived longer, I suppose he would've adapted with the times.Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11376065182154885503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-77814835687471475052012-07-14T15:10:58.794-04:002012-07-14T15:10:58.794-04:00Eh, I know the feeling. (segue: although after reading some of Robert Bloch's Psycho recently, I'd actually love to see someone make another go at that story other than Hitchcock with the type of actor the story suggests which in today's market would be say John C. Reilly, or Zach Gallifinakis or after his display in Bernie, Black would eat it up).

Back to Argento... Suspira seems to be the most well known film, but OPERA is a masterpiece of storytelling, conception and visuals... just amazing. Two years before that was Phenomena, which is fun to see because of a pre-Labyrinth Jennifer Connelly... poor girl has just had crazy roles since day 1.Reid Harris Cooperhttp://popculturespectrum.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-28487676838513702772012-07-13T12:19:41.988-04:002012-07-13T12:19:41.988-04:00Gotta check this out; I was unaware it was out the...Gotta check this out; I was unaware it was out there.
Thanks,
IvanIvanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16443946766217092846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-35385255064627933362012-07-13T11:48:53.452-04:002012-07-13T11:48:53.452-04:00Nice post, Rich. Actually, I also think Inception LOOKS like something the Master would have done, although it doesn't work like a Hitchcock movie. If only I had my reviews for any of the three movies in question on my blog right now.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05329144687532322489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-17418318132848681852012-07-12T22:19:44.653-04:002012-07-12T22:19:44.653-04:00Rich, I really enjoyed your post about DO YOU LIKE...Rich, I really enjoyed your post about DO YOU LIKE HITCHCOCK?, and since I'm one of those scaredy-cat types who watch gory movie scenes between my fingers, I have a feeling DO YOU LIKE HITCHCOCK? just might be perfect for me! :-) Argento's interview was most interesting, too. You did a great job, Rich, and I'm so glad to have you as part of our Blogathon! Thanks a million for joining the fun!DorianTBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01357778472575080022noreply@blogger.com
