Yeah, as you can see, I don't do reviews in the traditional sense.

'Dragon' had characterization, sure, but I thought it mostly indulged in familiar tropes seen in other movies. Not that it was bad - like I said, it was entertaining - just overly familiar.Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11376065182154885503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-6631764978816690652011-12-08T18:32:07.304-05:002011-12-08T18:32:07.304-05:00Thanks for the mention, Rich. As we discussed and I thought upon,

I guess what I liked about this film other than the visuals was the script had a lot of depth of characterization and character moments.

The voice direction was quite good, too, matching the script and the visual direction.

The voice over tag at the end of the story rubbed me the wrong way because it didn't match the visual or the character feelings; but we found out later that the movie was based on a book. I'd likely win a bet that the tag was a line from the book.Rachel Kadushinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01234747182713713300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-20079319866326262222011-12-05T13:35:00.237-05:002011-12-05T13:35:00.237-05:00I didn't expect Toothless to be so... cute. I ...I didn't expect Toothless to be so... cute. I thought he should've been scarier, especially since all the other Vikings were scared of him.Richhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11376065182154885503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-48942973735398705832011-12-05T12:43:16.563-05:002011-12-05T12:43:16.563-05:00Glad you finally saw 'HTTYD'! The aerial sequences are wonderful, it must have looked spectacular on 3D. I just love Toothless!ruthhttp://flixchatter.netnoreply@blogger.com
