I've been super busy and am terribly behind on my blog reading.

I'm glad we ran into each other out here in the blogosphere (is it still called that?). I've often said I have just a handful of internet friends who I'd really like to meet, and you're one of them, for sure.

I grinned like a goofball reading RP1, and agree that the movie was a completely different thing. I think it falls a little flat when I think about it, but while at the theater watching, I had a good time.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09591981716535134038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4189120682398421108.post-40707129375854172162018-05-06T11:00:33.941-04:002018-05-06T11:00:33.941-04:00I trust your opinion on this. I don't know if I could do that — unless they got a crappy director or if it got horrible reviews.

Of course I do feel I know you almost as well as in real life. That part was more me playing devil's advocate than anything else.

RP1 probably isn't for you, but that's okay. I didn't make the effort I put into community theatre. Those cultural references that people share are lost on me. On the other hand, I appreciate that people become totally immersed in whatever their thing is, and relate to that easily.

As far as how well you can know someone online. I think that is possible. Personally, I think it would be too much trouble to make up a perfectpaddy. I like to think that what you choose to share is realrich.

Intellectually we may go into a movie knowing it will not be the book experience, but if it is something that has touched us emotionally, it is impossible not to feel that disappointment. I love Jane Austen's Emma, and I am so fond of it that to this day I have not watched any movie or TV adaption. I may really like them, but am not willing to take the chance.Caftan Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05936895555808823221noreply@blogger.com
